Android — SIMBA Notetaker app v1.7

  1. Download the APK below → open it → allow "Install from this source" if prompted. It installs over v1.6: your sign-in and recordings stay.
  2. Open the app → tap "Continue with Google" — one tap signs you in AND links your Gmail + Calendar.
  3. Tap 📋 setup — SIMBA checks this phone itself: mic, notifications, battery, auto-launch, backend. Fix anything red. Allow notifications: that is how the phone shows SIMBA is recording.
  4. IMPORTANT on Honor/Huawei: Settings → Apps → App launch → SIMBA AI → Manage manually (all three switches on), then Battery → No restrictions. Xiaomi: Autostart on + Battery saver → No restrictions.
  5. Tap 🎙 to record. v1.7 keeps recording with the screen off: a "● Recording meeting" notification with a timer and Pause/Stop stays in the shade, and the mic indicator shows next to the camera. Every 8-second piece is saved on the phone first and uploads whenever the network allows. If the phone itself stops a recording, SIMBA tells you when; the audio up to then is kept.

Desktop — Windows app v1.0

  1. Download the installer below and run it. If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway (the installer is not code-signed yet).
  2. SIMBA opens on Meetings. Press Record: the title bar, the taskbar button and the tray icon show a red REC dot while it records.
  3. You can minimise SIMBA during a call: it keeps recording, and the PC will not go to sleep until you stop.
  4. To capture the other side of an online call, use Meeting notes → Online call: in the share dialog pick Entire screen and tick Share system audio.
  5. SIMBA updates itself. For company PCs managed by IT there is an MSI: /downloads/SIMBA-AI-Setup-x64.msi
